Casserine

Casserine, a singer from the age of three, graduated from the High School of Performing Arts in New York City and rejected an opera scholarship from Howard University to become a funk-R&B singer. Gotta Get To Know Me, her debut, includes eight songs produced and written by Cato; the album impressed Patti Labelle enough to invite Casserine to duet with her at an Apollo Theatre performance. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
