This parking lot smells like pee!

There's nothing worse than pulling your car into a dark, dirty parking lot.  It's scary...for you...and your car!

But now there are 25 parking lots in the city....that have been certified 'safer' by Vancouver police.

The VPD awards are based on evaluations by officers. They take lighting, cleanliness, visibility and good security practices all into consideration.

A recent Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association survey found parking was one of the things most people dislike about downtown.

The idea to make parking more comfortable and safer for locals and tourists.
