Friday Mornings Winner and More....................

Nat and Drew's Great Big Garbage Challenge to the Death is officially over and the winner is.....................me!   This is the part where I would normally gloat, but truthfully both Drew and I produced way too much garbage and recylcing for the week and I only beat him by 7 measley ounces.  If you are playing catch-up and not really sure what I am rambling on about - on Monday morning Drew and I announced that we would keep track of every piece of garbage and recycling we produced for the entire week and the loser would be punished.  Our official tally this morning revealed I produced 6 pounds 6 ounces of waste and recycling, while Drew accumulated 6 pounds 13 ounces.  That means he'll be spending some time at the North Shore transfer station sorting garbage on May 8th!!!

In other important news......Did you read the remarkable story about the dog Remington who is up for adoption in Chilliwack?  Remington was shot and left for dead on a native reserve, but a woman found him and got him to the SPCA on time.  According to the story, he lost a leg but not his love of humans and his looking for a home.  You can read more here.
