Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Skycycle was led by singer/songwriter Steve Isaacs, a onetime graphic artist and website designer who also performed the lead role in the Broadway touring company of the Who's rock musical Tommy. He formed Skycycle (so named in honor of the two-wheeled rocket in which Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon in 1974) with guitarist Sven Shenar, bassist Kelly Castro and drummer Rob Brown; the group's debut EP, Breathing Water, was issued on MCA in 1998.
