Not to be confused with the similarly-named Houston indie-pop band, drum'n'bliss project Junior Varsity Km was the guise of San Francisco-based electronic artist Kenric McDowell. Releasing his debut EP Style For Life on local Darla Records in 1997, he returned the following year with both You're Fabulous and Taking Care Of You, the latter a contribution to the label's ongoing "Bliss Out" series. The two-volume Teledesic Disco set followed in 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
