Mike Batt is a British singer/songwriter/arranger/producer. In addition to scoring a number four U.K. solo hit in 1975 with "Summertime City," Batt has written songs recorded by Art Garfunkel, David Essex, and others, and wrote the music for the successful British TV series The Wombles. Classic Blue, by Justin Hayward (of The Moody Blues), Batt, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, was on the U.K. album chart in 1989. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
