Review by Gregory McIntosh
The Very Best Of Lindisfarne gathers together an excellent cross section of tracks from the three years (1970-1972) of Lindisfarne's first phase, considered to be the band's most attractive and adventurous period. EMI's collection presents 18 tracks of the group's finer moments from Nicely Out Of Tune, Fog On The Tyne, and Dingly Dell, plus two previously unreleased recordings tacked on at the end.
