Mere months before becoming a household name in Canada... Hamilton born BRIAN MELO, a professionally trained vocalist, was working construction when he finally made it past the Canadian Idol auditioning judges - after having tried unsuccessfully in previous seasons. His audition was the first one played on television and there has been no looking back once his voice and dynamic presence got out to the fans.
On September 11th, 2007 Brian won the Canadian Idol contest. On September 13th he released his first single, "All I Ever Wanted" which went platinum (through the power of iTunes and downloading) and is also featured on his debut album, Livin' It (SONY BMG), which came out two months later in November. Two more singles - the rocker ‘Shine" and the acoustic "Summertime" have firmly entrenched BRIAN MELO in the music landscape. And all this in less than a year!
Edmonton's TUPELO HONEY has just released Machines and Robots, the third release from this five-piece band that first caught the music industry's attention in 2005 when they won the Canadian Music Week's Xtreme Band Slam competition. Their sharp performances have put them in demand, opening up concerts for everyone from Default, Metric and The Trews to Everclear, k-os and Bon Jovi.
GREG NEUFELD evolves with every season. His debut self-titled album is remarkably mature and very musical. No stranger to danger, this Abbotsford based entertainer has rocked the lower mainland hard with his band Dimarco and has also achieved national fame and gossip on two separate occasions as a contestant in Canadian Idol. He recently went to Nashville to work with songwriters Amy Foster (Michael Buble, Josh Groban) and Michael Dukes (Eva Avila) before recording the album and the results are great songs like "Secret", "Your Eyes" and "Sleep You Off."
