Some people call these jobs, Street Team or Community Cruiser staff.

We're looking for people who want to be part of Crave-A-Palooza.

What is Crave-A-Palooza?  It's us - and maybe you - out there on the streets all summer long.

It's a job for someone who is passionate about radio - and is looking for a foot in the door.

Here's what we're looking for :

* People who are Reliable, enthusiastic & committed to FUN - not for the shy, behind the scenes type.

Here's some of the details for this position:

- 20-30 hours per week,  including lots of evenings & weekends between mid April and the end of August.

- Candidates should be at least 19 years of age and have reliable transportation (we're in Richmond - bus service intermittent at best).

- Must have a valid FULL Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record (you'll be driving our Station Vehicles - and we don't want to get calls from someone you cut off)

-Must not be an employee or intern at any other station while with Astral Media Radio G.P. college stations exempt - in fact if you work at a college station we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and tear down of major station events.  Requires lifting up to 30 kilograms.

- Interacting with the public, staff and clients

- Acting as an informed representative for the radio station at many events

- Maintaining vehicles and work areas

- Updating web site content, other Internet duties

Requirements

- Must love music.

- Must remain calm under pressure. 

- Must be punctual. (This is very important.  In radio, if you don't show up, you go off the air. And that's bad.)

- Must be waterproof (it rains - sometimes you work in the rain.  There's nothing we can do about that.  If you know Mother Nature, give her a call.)

- It's fun work - but it's hard at times.  Don't let it get to you.  Our glasses are always half-full.

-Able to work with minimal supervision but also function effectively in fun team environment.   We supervise - but we don't watch you every minute - you're in charge while you're out there.
