"SECRET" BRYAN ADAMS SHOW
Finally, we can talk about it! We've been talking about this "secret" Bryan Adams show for a couple of weeks now and the show finally took place last night at St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church at Nelson & Burrard. There were only a few hundred people there (contest winners from across the country including a bunch of 95 Crave listeners) and every single one of them was surprised when they were finally told the location. A church??!?!? Really?
Really. And it turned out to be the perfect location. After all, sitting on a church pew in Vancouver, singing along with Bryan and "Summer of '69" sure seemed like a religious experience.
Bryan performed for a little over and hour, mixing in new songs from his album 11 with classics like "Heaven", "Run to You" and "Straight From the Heart." It can be tough to introduce new songs to an audience that's hungry to hear the familiar, but this again was the perfect setting. You could every word in the new songs and feel the nuances of the music. Bryan got a number of standing ovations...and so did his mom who celebrated her 80th birthday on the day of the show.

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend. Nat & I will be back Monday morning 5-9am. Now...go give a chocolate Easter Bunny a good home!
